All about me…

Growing up an avid dancer, I have always had a deep love for the performing arts. Developing the creative muscle necessary to embody emotional work formed the way I approach art-making. As I grew and developed an eye for the visual arts, I have found a real passion for discovering the ways that graphic design, my primary artistic medium, and performance can intertwine and enhance each other. My favorite work to create is show posters, as it allows me the opportunity to engage in script analysis and visual translation. I consider myself to be a facilitator of stories, and find fulfillment in uplifting diverse voices and provoking understanding between maker and audience through my visual art, acting, and dance work.

I have a background in a wide variety of creative mediums including graphic design, digital photography, marketing, acting, dancing, choreographing, and vocal performance. Each of my experiences across art forms fuels the next, and exploring a variety of mediums drives my creative process. I feel there is a way for visual and physical art forms to support each other and exist across spaces, and I work to occupy this in-between.

I find inspiration in the physical space of the theatre, the natural environment, poetry and stories, and geometry. I am a firm believer in the impact live performance has to shift perspectives and build understanding among others. My work as a performer fuels my desire to learn, especially from observing others' skill and reaction. Something unspoken and deeply resonant happens between actors in a rehearsal room and between audience and actor, and having been changed by this myself I want to draw others into this reality through my design work, visual artwork, performance, and digital marketing.
